we are testing your product with RPI3 und 7″-Touch-Display.
We where not able to start an Executable in Full-Screen-mode or centered.
Could you help us?
If you do a File->Save on the compiled VI (the one downloaded to the Pi) it will save a text file of the same name as the compiled VI, on the same directory of the downloaded VI. This text file is editable and you can play with window size and position for when the compiled VI runs on the Pi.
We tried that, but we do not get any text-file on the RPI-Target.
our working directory is: /usr/local/RPiCCLV
you should mention, that the RPI3-defualt-User “pi” , who executes that VI via Desktop need write-permission in that folder. It is not set by default….
Another thing that I’ve found to work was to use the xdotool package on the RPi3. I was using a much smaller screen and couldn’t get the executable to show up where I needed it to on the screen. Using the xdotool as a part of a shell script allowed me to put it where I wanted it to be.
Here is a link to the site that explains a little how to use xdotool: http://www.semicomplete.com/projects/xdotool/xdotool.xhtml
Very nice! Thanks for sharing this with community.
Exporting the .cfg file worked perfectly for me.
It needed permissions changed before it could be edited:
sudo chmod og+w VI_name.cfg
I’m not sure if it was the ‘others’ or ‘group’ permission which was needed.
The file now reads:
size = 800×480
position = 0,0
My VI now exactly fills the screen when loaded.
Filipe: Thank you so much for the hint!
