I have a sensor conected to the Pi using a serial to USB coverter.
If I use the “VISA Configure Serial Port VI” and the “VISA Read Function” the programm runs fine on my Windows PC. On the Pi the only thing that should be different is the /dev/ttyUSB0 port instead of COM_X.
But on the Pi the program always gets an undefined error on the VISA read function.
If I program the same thing on the Pi with Python it also works fine.
Any suggestions on what is going on here and how to fix it?
Since the VISA Read Function does not seem to work properly for my case,
is there a way to execute bash or python files out of Labview?
If someone has similar problems with the Visa Read Function, I had to disable (False) the termination char and now it reads flawlessly. Seems to be a bit bugged.
No luck with executing files yet. Is this doable?
No, unfortunately, executing Python scripts is not supported by the compiler.
I think the biggest bottleneck of this compiler is to not be able to run anything outside…
All that power stuck by some limited functionality…
