Hi this project looks intresting.
I was trying to execute a python script from the pi example (./instr1.py 166 ) and capture the results usualy 8 ######.
Ifirst tryd to compile labviews systemexec.vi but it just hung.
Any help would be apriciated.
The project consists of a rasp pi and 5 arduinos using modbus on rs485 they all function ok except I need a gui and other nicities.
You will need to give me more information on what you are trying to do, the type of behavior you get, etc. Attaching the VI would be a good start and a more thorough description of how to reproduce the behavior.
I have a python executable file that I want to run from a labview vi on the raspberry pi and get the results back to the vi and display the same. I can use labview on my development computer and use the system exec vi but it does not compile on the raspberry pi. If I try to use this and other vis the compiler just hangs up.
Te python file that i am trying to run is in home/py directory and the command line would be ./instr1.py 260 the argument is for the results to come back to the vi.
Other vis do seem to compile fine
Thank you Brian_a
Thanks for the extra details. This seems like an interesting use case for the compiler but none less it is one that was not included support for on the current version. The ability to include user created Python code as part of the Compiler is on the our road map, but we don’t have a good feel at this time as to when that will be implemented.
