Hi there, i have made a VI for the pi using your compiler. its essentially a label printing program that dependant on case structure inputs builds the ZPL code, which is then written to a text file, a command is then sent to the terminal, using the console print, to print this file (lp -o raw /path/to/text/file). However the carriage return constant doesnt ‘enter’ this command therefore causing the label not to print.
if i enter this command myself in the terminal and press enter then it works excatly as it should. Any ideas as to why this isn’t working?
Also does the compiler support key mappings, for example mapping enter to a boolean button?
I also would like to see an answer to this question. I can use the provided print.vi to write to an open terminal window but no combination of characters added to the output will cause the output to not “hang” the terminal, nor will they cause the characters to be executed as text entered into a terminal followed by an [Enter] would be. I can launch my application with a ” &” at the end and I see some characters written to the terminal (usually something like and some 4 or five digit number which may be the process number just launched). What I want to be able to do is to use the print.vi as a way to launch other processes via named bash files or python scripts. Is that too much to ask?
