Hi I would like to read out bus the A/D converter with I2C module “Explore 700”. I have written a program with which I can read only one of 4 inputs on the A/D converter. Does anyone have one as I need to change the address can read out the other analog inputs?
The A/D Converter I2C adress is Hex 0x40 Dez 72
I think your problem is more about the understanding of the I2C protocol. read the datasheet for the IC you are trying to control. Usually, device address is the one that is in the documentation of the I2C device + the possible 3 pin that allow you to do a hardware selectable address.
Then you need to write data (address where you want to read or write)” not the Device address” and then with another command write or read you access the address inside the device you want to read or write.
I hope it’s clear… but you should read the documentation of the Device… first step.
